BDSM and Kink
I am incredibly passionate about BDSM and kink spaces and understanding the motivating factors for those who are a part of the community. Furthermore, I aim to eliminate biases surrounding BDSM and kink practices and dynamics. Alongside this, my favorite research is qualitative research; I truly enjoy using this method to delve deeper into people's lives, capturing the nuances and intricacies that quantitative data may fail to reveal. The process allows me to uncover the unique narratives and experiences that make each individual truly fascinating.
I am a member of the APA Division 44 BDSM and Kink Task Force. Want to learn more about it? Check out this article: https://psychology.illinois.edu/news/2023-12-27/phd-student-briana-kunstman-appointed-apa-division-44-task-force
